Description

The metaphor is a seed coming to life and revealing movement from dormancy to growth. While growth can cause discomfort, it also creates space for something new to come forward. Just as water and light stimulate seeds to awaken and grow, this first card in the deck heralds something new being born. The situation could be comfortable or challenging, yet it is here to bring about growth in consciousness. This card also reveals going through an experience that clears the way to more creativity and to the Creative Source.
The “ignition” that this card signifies could be gentle, but it could also be fierce, like lightning that hits the earth and sparks a fire. Don’t be frightened. Instead, think of the mighty sequoia trees. Their tightly closed pine cones (resembling the pineal gland) can only open and release seeds when the heat from a forest fire forces them to expand. The ashes on the ground allow for a fertile place for the new giant trees to spring to life...and thus, creation is witnessed.
